Upcycling & Exchange Program

At Ulka Jewells, we believe that fine jewellery should never simply sit unworn in a drawer. Every piece carries a story, and our Upcycling & Exchange Program gives that story a new chapter — transforming jewellery you no longer wear into a beautiful new creation from our collection. It is our way of honouring your treasured pieces while helping you fall in love with jewellery all over again.

Through this program, you can send us your old, outdated or unworn gold, silver or gemstone jewellery, and our artisans will thoughtfully rework it into a fresh design of your choosing from our current collection. Rather than letting a piece go to waste, you give it a second life in a form you will actually love to wear.

As a token of appreciation for choosing to upcycle with us, we offer a 10% discount on the new piece you select from our collection. It is our way of thanking you for being part of a more thoughtful, sustainable approach to jewellery.

Getting started is simple:

1. Choose the piece you would like to receive in exchange from our current collection.
2. Pack your old jewellery securely and send it to us via a reliable, traceable courier service. If any original certificates, hallmark cards or invoices are available, please include them, as they help our team assess your piece accurately.
3. Our in-house jewellers will examine the metal and stones and confirm your piece is eligible for the program before work begins.
4. Once confirmed, our artisans will carefully craft your new piece and prepare it for dispatch.

1. We accept jewellery made of genuine gold, silver, or pieces set with natural or precious gemstones. Fashion or imitation jewellery cannot be accepted under this program.
2. Because each piece is thoughtfully reworked by hand, upcycled orders take longer to craft than a regular purchase, and rush requests cannot be accommodated.
3. Heavily damaged, broken-down, or unidentifiable metal pieces may require additional assessment time, and in some cases may not be eligible for the program.
4. The new piece will be crafted based on the design you select from our current collection; we are unable to accommodate custom design changes outside of what is shown on our website.

Our team takes great care in evaluating and transforming every piece that comes our way, treating your jewellery with the same craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into everything we make.

Once your jewellery has been received and confirmed as eligible, your new piece will be crafted and shipped back to you within 20 business days. Return shipping on your new piece is complimentary and covered by Ulka Jewells; the cost of sending us your original jewellery is to be borne by you.

By taking part in our Upcycling & Exchange Program, you not only receive a beautiful new piece but also help us build a more sustainable, thoughtful jewellery business — one piece at a time.

As every upcycled piece is custom-crafted for you, returns cannot be offered once your new jewellery has been dispatched. If the piece you receive is incorrect or defective, please write to us within 2 days of delivery to raise a claim. If approved, you will be asked to ship the item back to us for verification, with all tags and packaging intact; return shipping in this case will need to be borne by you. Once we receive and verify your parcel, a credit note will be issued to your email.
